For food, we served a slow cooked brisket and red beans. The brisket was huge, about 8 pounds, so I was surprised there wasn't any left at the end of the party.
We also made cream cheese stuffed jalepenos with bacon (I tried to make them a little healthier with low fat cream cheese and lower sodium bacon). You just pop them in a 375 degree oven for about 20 minutes. I made three batches and they all disappeared.
Mexican 7-layer dip (refried beans, sour cream, salsa, guacamole, shredded cheese, olives, and green onions) and caprese skewers are a party staple.
Our sweet friends brought spinach dip (that I didn't get a pic of but was absolutely delicious!), and the cutest, tastiest cupcakes and cookies.
The kids REALLY had a good time playing together.
And the adults did too! I admit I didn't catch any of the game- or the commercials . . . just the half-time show.
What did y'all think?
P.S. My friend Emily (Decor Chick) is hosting a sale on Joss & Main today. I know she'd love it if you want to check it out!
You need to be a member to shop the site, but it's FREE to join, you just need an invite, which I've included for you HERE.

Great spread and party! We watched in our pjs. I only watched the halftime show too, but was greatly disappointed. My highlight of the evening was when we got to switch over to Downton Abbey!
ReplyDeleteParty looks like such a blast and the food looks amazing. And a bouncy house?!...the kids must have gone bananas when they saw that!
ReplyDeleteWe had a Super Bowl party last night too and now I'm dealing with the aftermath! I didn't pay much attention to the game either, but I never do. ;) I love that you rented a bounce house. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteAll the snacks look so delicious and they are definitely healthier than other snacks out there - well done! It looked like you all had an amazing time! :)
ReplyDeleteAll the food looks so yummy! I'm still a little bleary eyed after a late night, maybe I can catch a nap today.
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone had a great time! Your food all looks delicious...I'm going to try out your jalapeno's soon!
ReplyDeleteSo fun. You all went all out. Such a great recap and those bacon appetizers look like something I need to try soon. Happy Monday, friend!

What a great party. We stayed home, made homemade pizza. I only watched for the commercials, which were a bit lame this year. Loved the M&M commercial however.
ReplyDeleteFood looked awesome. Here in MD, it was cold with snow flurries so no outside play for the kids. We had jambalaya in the spirit of New Orleans to help keep out the chill.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to try the caprese skewers for my husband's birthday party this weekend.
That looks like a Super Bowl Party to remember! (Even if you didn't watch the game!) It's all about food, family and friends in my book and you had that covered! The pictures are great! I love the one of you and your adorable son!
ReplyDeleteHow fun!!
ReplyDeleteThose caprese skewers look easy and delicious! I'm a sucker for a good cheese dish anytime. Hope you enjoyed one wine with it! ;-) love the pic of you and your sweet boy!
ReplyDeleteLooks like so much fun - all I watched was the half time show too ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great party! So jealous that you were able to take your party outside!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful party (and delicious too!) Love the picture of everyone outside on the quilts
