Kate at Centsational Girl posed this question over the weekend:
I love the idea of asking this question because I also often wonder about those types of details of people’s lives. For me, I typically blog after my son has gone to sleep and my husband and I have eaten dinner and spent a little time together. My place of choice is on the corner of our couch in the living room.
It’s a comfy spot to curl up in with my laptop, has a lamp, and is near an outlet so I can keep my computer plugged in. I have an office, but it’s not completed and I prefer to be in the same room with my honey at night. I’m sure that once I get the desk I ordered from Z Gallerie, I’ll have more incentive to finish my office and really want to spend more time in there.
I am dreaming of an office like this:
But for now, I get to connect with you all from my little corner of the couch! I can’t wait to read everyone else’s responses!

You blog like me! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a comfy spot to me! I wish I could blog from my laptop, but all of my photos and everything are stored on my main computer.
ReplyDeleteI'd love an office like the one in that photo, too. Although I don't think I could ever keep a glass desk that clean... :-)
Ah, the convenience of a mobile laptop and the comfy cozy softness of the sofa ! I love getting a peek at where other's blog, good for you that you make it all happen next to your honey. LOVE your inspiration photo, what a dream space !

Another sofa blogger! With a cozy blanket too. Ah man.. I need to get me a laptop. :)
ReplyDeleteDonna
Bwaahaaa, good to find other comfy spot bloggers!! :-) Love your inspiration photo! That would be blogging in style!
ReplyDeleteWhere do I blog? I sit at the end of the couch, just like you, but as you face the room, I face the end of the couch and look to my right to also watch TV as I blog! I keep my laptop on top of a pillow, with the pillow on top of my bent left leg. Is that detailed enough? LOL! It is probably more descriptive than you cared to hear, correct? :)
ReplyDeleteBest,
Gloria
P.S. Sometimes my leg gets a cramp from keeping it in that position so long, so I have to extend it onto a little stool I have near the couch! Yes, I know... sad. LOL!
All the more reason I need to get a laptop. :)
ReplyDeleteRight now I currently Blog in our Home Office. I say 'our' because both the Hubby and I have our own desk and computers in there and while he is tinkering around doing his thing, I can be on mine blogging, all the while being in the same room together :)
All of us Sofa Bloggers should form a club! You even have the laptop balanced between your knee and the arm of the sofa, like I have to do when one of the cats is in my lap!

ReplyDeleteSorry about the duplicate comments and all the deleting ... one of the cats stepped on the keyboard and posted my comment three times. I have found that this is the main hazard of Sofa Blogging.
ReplyDeleteConnie (again)
I don't think I could have blogged well if I didn't have a laptop. ;) It is so nice to sit on the couch at night and read a blog or two in between commercials. ;) I'm visiting from Kate's "Where I Blog" party today. :)
ReplyDeleteWow...that looks like a cozy spot!
ReplyDeleteI blog every morning from my laptop at my kitchen table while my son eats breakfast! only way I get things done is if he's contained! ;)
I am a sofa blogger also. I guess when I sit at my desk I start thinking I should pay bills or do some type of work! Thanks for the peek!
ReplyDeleteDonna
I blog from the sofa area too!! I have an office but I feel cozy cuddled up into a comfy place. Great blog. New follower. = ))
ReplyDeleteI am loving your dream spot! I linked up to Centsational Girl too, but totally copied your dream space idea. I mentioned you in the photo caption though :) Thanks for the cool idea!

If I blogged from my sofa I would never get up and get anything done!!!
ReplyDeleteI need to be uncomfortable therefore I wont spend more time than I already do on the computer..lol
My husband let me take over his office! It's definetly not much to look at right now, I'm in the planning stages of adding a little paint and love to it.
ReplyDeleteVery comfy cozy! I'm sure it's nice to be near your hubby! :-)
ReplyDeleteGetting cozy on the couch and sharing some time with the hubs is always nice, even when blogging! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove that desk from Z Gallerie too! Can't wait to see how you pull your office together.
I did sit at a desk top and blog, but now with my new lap top I can be comfy like you. I sit mostly in my sunroom.
ReplyDeleteYour space really looks very comfy...Christine
ReplyDeleteCouch bloggers unite!
ReplyDeleteThe couch corner is great - but I don't blame you for dreaming of an office like that! I wish!
ReplyDeleteI'm a couch blogger too - usually while the kiddos are playing the Wii or watching TV. I don't like to be shut in an office while all the action is somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a nice cozy spot! I'm your newest follower and found you through the Where do you blog party.
ReplyDeleteHopping around the blog party and found your lovely site! So fun!
ReplyDeleteYeah! for comfy sofa blogging!! Love your site design!!
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing a trend here..blogging on sofa. Never done it but it looks more comfortable than on my stool. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing us where you blog.
There is nothing that compares to comfort. Your inspiration photo is great, but I suspect that you might still blog from the sofa on occasion, once the office is set up :)

Megan, you look so comfortable. I need a laptop. I sit at a desk in the dining room. I'm dreaming of ANY kind of office. Have a great day! La
ReplyDeleteI love blogging on the couch too.
ReplyDeleteYour media cabinet looks awesome!
Love your blog design too, Kelly did mine too.
last few days our group held a similar discussion about this topic and you point out something we haven't covered yet, appreciate that.

I dream of an office but for now I am a sofa blogger. At least this way I'm in the same room as my hubby.
ReplyDelete{THANKS so much for adding me to your blog roll!!}
Hello
ReplyDeleteThis post was interesting, how long did it take you to write?
Wherever I can get some quiet, whether that be in the office (shhh) or at home on my couch, or in the bed!
